Rainy Day Make-Up

Hi Everyone! This is a look I did last week and I think I was subconsciously reflecting the depressing weather we've been having this past few days. Not my usual type of look, greys and blacks, as they tend to do nothing for my already grey-blue eyes, but the pop of teal blue liner kind of saves it I think. Hope you like it! So the first thing I did was prime my lid with UDPP and with a flat shader brush apply Inglot 501 to the inner half of the lid. On a small blending type brush I took Print by Mac and swept it in a winged shape to the outer half of the lid and pulled it into the socket area. I blended the edges with a clean blending brush. Next on an angled brush, I picked up some Carbon by Mac, and lined my lashline, pulling the colour up as I went along to create an exaggerated but soft type of line. I blended the line a little with the same brush I used with Print. I lined my waterline with Mac Technakohl Liner in Practice Makes Perfect. I used Inglot 352 as a brow and inner corner highlight. The subtle pink tone in this helps hide blue-ish dark circles. I ran YSL Shocking Liquid Liner along the top lashes for added definition. Benefit They're Real Mascara. I filled in my brows with Catrice Brow Kit - fantastic choice if you're ash-toned like me! On my cheeks I wore Benefit Coralista Blush and on my lips I used Sleek Pout Polish in Bare It All.

Recent Treats: Urban Decay & Benefit

Hi Everyone! I've been doing some make-up shopping in the last few weeks and wanted to share some of the goodies I picked up. I guess some call it a haul..? First up, Urban Decay Afterglow Glide on Cheek Tint in Quickie and Urbanglow Cream Highlighter in Sin, €28 each. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll have noticed that I've included Quickie in many looks, as I got it as a free sample before but the tiny little pot (which lasted me months and months) was finally scraped clean and I just had to get the full size. And I decided to give Sin a go as I haven't replaced my Mac Creme Colour Base in Shell since I finished it a few months ago. Plus the packaging is Divine. With a double D. These are seriously good enough to eat. Now the Benefit goodies! The mini BadGal Lash Mascara came free with Glamour magazine (trust me I wouldn't have bought it otherwise). I was doing hair at a charity event last week and Benefit had a pop-up shop at it so when I got half a chance I ran over to spend some money I didn't really have, as you do :) I walked away with Coralista Boxed Blush, €35, which I'm LOVING at the minute. It instantly makes you look 10 times healthier and glowier than before, it's fantastic. I also got They're Real Beyond Mascara, €25, on which I will do a separate review soon, though I'm at two minds about it so far, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Well that's all folks, have you tried any of these?

Sultry Cat Eyes Tutorial

Hi Everyone! Its tutorial time! I wore this out to a friend's birthday and I loved it because it's a little darker than what I usually go for. And for the love of God I could not think of a better name for it hahah. Well, hope you like it! I began by applying Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the lid and under the lower lashes. On a large shadow brush I took Inglot 352 and washed it all over the lid, concentrating on the inner corner and browbone. Next, on a blending brush I took some Tease from the Naked2 palette and applied it in the socket softly. From the Smashbox Girls on Film Smokebox palette I took the deep aubergine colour, Royal, and applied it in the socket, blending with Tease to create dramatic depth. Next on a pencil brush, from the same Smokebox palette I took the deep blue, Nocturnal, and applied heavily under the lower lashes, extending in a wing. I lined my eyes with Inglot Gel Liner 77, winged it out and took it to a point in the inner corner. Benefit Bad Gal Lash and Ardell Wispies. Et Voila! On my cheeks I wore Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint in Quickie and on my lips I used YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick #13 Peche Passion.

Monday Lip Swatch: YSL Rouge Volupte Peach Passion

Hi Everyone! I've been super hectic this last 2 weeks, apologies for not posting anything, I just haven't had a minute to spare. I have a few posts lined up for you this week however, beginning with this weeks lip swatch! I got this last weekend in Dublin, me and the boyfriend were down for a concert and of course I had to take a dander down to Brown Thomas... This is my first Yves Saint Laurent lipstick, and I must say I'm loving it. I had no idea about what qualities their lipsticks have or anything, so I went purely with the packaging. Its stunning. The texture is creamy and when you apply it to the lips, it feels like it melts on. The pigmentation is great, but I need to reapply every hour or so, which is a pity because my lips end up drying like mad (I can't tell if thats the lipstick's fault or not though). The main thing that I got his for was of course the amazing colour. Its a beautiful peachy coral type that doesn't look orange (which most peaches look like with my pale skin). It has a very subtle fruity scent which is lovely. Please excuse my chapped lips in the photos too :/ Approx RRP €31
