La Roche Posay Haul

Hi Everyone! I recently purchased some new moisturizers in an attempt to re-vamp my make-up kit (currently I have a mish-mash of skincare products, and I'd like to just stick to one brand) and LRP is a good one for me, because its suitable for even the most sensitive skin types and its a little fancy but not too pricey (I buy all my skincare products for my kit with my own money). Also when you buy one of their moisturizers, you get a cool wee set of travel sized goodies, including a full sized Thermal Spring Water Mist. Nice!
I was given a few samples (thanks Janice!) to try out and the one I liked most for dry skin was the Nutritic Transforming Care for Dry Skin €16 for 40ml. It has a pleasant subtle scent to it and I only need to use a pea-sized amount to cover the entire face.
I also got Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturizer €17 for 40ml, to use on my more oily or combination skin clients and have yet to test it out properly, but it has a nice fresh scent and felt nice on the back of my hand..? Let me know if you've tried this!
Now, the freebies!
Thermal Spring Water Mist - Sensitive Skin. "Natural Anti-Oxidant, Soothes and Softens"
Toleriane Soothing Protective Care - Normal to Combination Intolerant Skin.
Anthelios XL 50+ spf .
Physiological ultra-fine Scrub - Gently Smoothes and Purifies.
Toleriane Dermo Cleanser - Make-up removal fluid.

Warm Brown Smokey Eye Tutorial

Hi Everyone! Woops I posted this without typing the "intro".. although it doesn't really matter anyway, don't have much to say about this! Am I on a posting streak or what? Hope you like it :)
I applied uDPP in Eden all over the lid and under the lower lashes.
On a medium flat shader brush I picked up Woodwinked by Mac, its a gorgeous warm antique-gold colour and its one of Mac's bestsellers so Im sure a few of you already own this so I don't have to explain how fab it is. It looks amazing on its own , I love it. But anywhoo, this goes all over the moving lid.
One of my more recent purchases, Samoa Silk (matte soft peach) is a lovely blending colour and I buffed this in the crease with a large blending brush.
On a small pointed crease brush and Brown Down by Mac, I smudged this into the outer corner and under the lower lashes.
I finally got around to fixing my Carbon! go me! :) I pushed this into the lashline with an angled brush and blended with the same pointed crease brush I used with Brown Down. I also di some highlighting under the brow and in the inner corner with Brule.
I ran Avon SuperShock Gel Liner Pencil along the top and bottom waterline.
revlon 3D Extreme Mascara.
Ardell 102 lashes, and I used Gosh Brow Kit to fill in my brows.
On my lips I wore OCC Lip Tar in Hush with a little bit of Gosh Darling on top.

Sultry Naked2 Eyes

Hi Everyone! If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may have noticed that I'm not a fan of silver eyeshadows. I don't know why, I just don't like them, they look cheap and they don't in my ever important (lol) opinion flatter any eye colour. So I couldn't help but notice that two of the colours from my Naked2 palette have been completely neglected. Not surprisingly it was the silver shade, Verve and the taupe-grey, Pistol. I figured I'd do something different for those of you who are sick of my never ending bronze-gold looks and ended up quite liking the finished result. Maybe silver isn't such a boring colour after all?
As per usual, Primer Potion was applied first.
On a flat shader brush, I picked up Pistol, and applied it in the inner and outer corners.
With the same brush, using the other side, I took Verve and packed this onto the middle of the lid.
On a large fluffy blending brush and the colour Tease (one of my faves in the palette) I blended this into the crease and up towards the brow. The taupe tones in this brown add a nice contrast to the very cool tones going on in the lid colours.
I also took some of the Tease colour under the lower lashes.
I picked up some Blackout on an angled brush and lined the upper lashline, pushing the colour slightly upward for a softer finish and flicked up at the outer corner.
I applied generous coats of Catrice Better Than Waterproof Mascara (which I'm rather impressed with).
finally, after applying my base etc I filled in my brows with Gosh Brow Kit (the darkest shade). I think I also did some matte highlighting around the inner corner and under the brow.
On my cheeks I had on Mac Well Dressed Powder Blush and on my lips I wore Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup. Hope you like it! Much Love!

Sucker Punch Babydoll Tutorial

Hi Everyone! I watched Sucker Punch when it first came out and again over the weekend since they're showing it on Sky Movies now and I can't make up my mind on how I feel about it. It's quite possibly the worst film ever made with the best soundtrack ever. And any beauty freak can appreciate the cartoon-ish make-up. Babydoll would actually make an excellent halloween costume I think. This is a really simple look overall, the only tricky bits are the liner and lashes. Hope you like it! :)
I primed my entire lid with uDPP in Eden. On a large shader brush I took Inglot 352 and washed this all over the lid.
Next, on a soft blending brush I took Catrice Starlight Espresso and applied this sharply in the crease to create a dramatic contour, concentrating on the inner corner to make the eye appear to be in a constant worried expression. Don't blend this out too much, it's supposed to look rather harsh.
To deepen the contour, I used a small pointed blending brush and Catrice Heidi Plum eyeshadow. Be sure to use minimal product and a light hand with this step.
The bottom lashline is kept free of colour so to cancel out any redness on the waterline I used Nars rue Bonaparte eyeliner. I lined the top lashline with rimmel Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner. The trick is to not wing it out too much and too keep it slightly thicker and more rounded in the middle of the eye to create a rounded eye shape.
I used Maybelline Illegal Lenghts Mascara (forgot to take pic) and applied Ardell 109 lashes. I felt that these weren't quite enough so I layered Ardell Wispies on top to create that doll-eye look. for my brows I ran a little bit of concealer through them to knock down the colour a little and then used the Gosh Brow Kit (the lightest shade).
On my cheeks I used Mac Well Dressed (satin) blush and on my lips I wore a concoction of lip products but the end result looked nothing like Babydoll's in the film, I went too dark with it. Oh well. Have you seen the film? What did you think? Much Love xxx
