I Wanna See Your Peacock

Hi Everyone! First of all, as you may have noticed I went on a bit of a hiatus there for a few weeks, mainly because I actually didnt have a laptop..! But all that is sorted now, and I have every intention of returning to my usual 1-2 posts a week :) I have a very colourful and bright look for you today to kick things off, hope you like it!

I began by using Mac Paintpot in Pure Creation (Posh Paradise Collection 2011, you can use a soft mid-tone blue eye pencil smudged on the lid instead) all over the moving lid, applied with a synthetic flat brush.

Next from the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette I took the colour Deep End, a bright teal shade, and pressed in to the inner third of the moving lid.

Next, flipping the brush over, I took the colour Omen from the same palette and pressed it into the middle of the moving lid, overlapping slightly with Deep End to help marry the two shades together.

Flipping the same brush over once more, I took the midnight blue shade, Evidence, and patted this into the outer third, again overlapping with Omen to help blend. I say I patted or pressed these shadows, because they tend to fall out like crazy so I recommend doing your foundation AFTER the eye make-up.

I took a clean blending brush and ran it along the socket where the colours stop to try soften the harsh edge a little without disturbing the colours on the lid. Then using that same blending brush which at this stage was a little dirty, I took a little bit of Tainted, a light shimmery pink, and buffed it into the socket and towards the browbone to get a nice blend going on.

Taking the tiniest amount of Junkshow, a hot pink, on a small pointed brush, I deepened the bit where the lid colours meet Tainted.

On a small flat brush, I took the colour Vanilla, a pale golden shimmer, and popped it generously in the tearduct area.

On a short smudgy brush, I took Half-Truth, and applied it under the lower lashes.

I added some depth with Blackout to the outer corner.

Avon Supershock Gel Liner Pencil on waterline (upper and lower), Rimmel Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner on top lashline and Benefit They're Real! Mascara because it's the blackest mascara I own.

Ardell 134's. A bit crazy huh? If I were to wear this out, I would replace these with something like the 120's.

I didn't do any blush as I thought it would be too much so I did some crazy contouring instead! OCC Hush on the lips :) Hope you like it! X
