Vampy Scarlet Eyes Tutorial

Hey Everyone, havent I been very productive this week, I have another tutrial for ya! Its a very bold look, you could wear it for Halloween if you are going as a sexy witch or an evil fairy or even a vamp. Enjoy!

As usual, I applied my Primer Potion in Eden all over the lid and I filled in my brows with Stila eyeshadow in Nanda Devi and an angled brush.

Next, as a base for the red eyeshadow, I used a red lipliner (an old H&M one, I doubt they even sell it anymore) and blended it onto the inner half of my lid with my ringfinger. Now, red happens to be one of those pigments that people may or may not take a reaction to, so before you do this step make sure whatever youre using is safe to use around the eye area. I have no idea whether this lipliner is or not, but its all I had, and I am not allergic to red AND this make-up was washed off right after taking these photos. Instead of a lipliner you could use a cream shadow, a red eyeliner (if you have it) a paintpot or even black eyeliner used in the same method woud work fine.

Next, taking this scarlett colour (from one of my random cheap ebay 88 palettes) with a flat shader brush I packed it onto the lid, right on top of where the lipliner was.

Blend out the edges with a blending brush. Next I took a little bit of Catrice eyeshadow in Starlight Espresso and began blending in the crease and above. I also took this shimmery grey taupe colour and did the same thing. This step will make it a little easier to blend out the black later on.

With a tapered crease brush I took Creep from my Naked Palette and slowly began applying it to the outer V, until I got a shape like this.

Next, with a short shader brush, I applied Brue by Mac around the browbone to help blend out the crease colours. I also applied Blanc Type to the inner corner.

To line the waterline and to tightline, I used Catrice Gel Liner in Black and to create the super dramatic winged liner on top I usd Rimmel Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner in Black.

2 coats of Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara and SalonSystem Naturalash #145 lashes.

On the lips I applied AVON Supershock Liner in Black on the corners and the lipstick is Revlon Super Lusrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow.

I've done quite a few dramatic looks in the last little while, whaddya say, keep em coming or tone it down? Much Love xxx

NOTD - Catrice "Lucky in Lilac"

Another pointless Nail of the Day post, this time it's Catrice #130 "Lucky in Lilac". Its a lovely creamy-finish standard purple, this is 2 coats. Of all nail colours, blues are my favourite. I love all blues, aqua, minty, royal, shimmey, creamy I love them all. But my nails have started to take on a funky green tint from the blue pigments staining through, so I figured I should start wearing something else for a while. So Im going to start building my purple collection, starting with this. The only thing about Catrice polishes it that they (from what I've experienced) dont last more than a day, so theyre great for doing your nails just for the night, but sadly, thats about as much wear as youll get before it chips. xxxx

NOTD - Catrice 'Mona Lisa is Staring Back'

I got a few new polishes recently, here's Catrice ultimate Nudes #060 'Mona Lisa is Staring Back. Its a gorgeous nude peach with gold and pink shimmer. I was however, disappoited at the quality of it, I think its because of the shimmery finish as my other Catrice polishes are both creamy finished and apply like a dream. I had to apply 3 relatively thick coats of this to get bottle colour and to even out the application. So it takes forever to dry. However, the finish is just so darn pretty, I'll go through the bother again for sure. Pretty pretty!

Turqoise & Lilac Dramatic Eyes Tutorial

Hi Girls! The weather was so good today, I felt like doing bright jewel coloured eyes, and pretend its still summer. This look would look amazing on brown or hazel eyes, my dull blues look even duller with these, but it didnt stop me wearing it anyway, so yeah. Lets get started!

First of all I applied GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer on my skin. I dont normally use a primer, but my skin has been kind of weird and uneven recently so I applied this first to give it time to sink in. I had never used the eyeshadows in this tutorial before, so I was expecting fallout galore, but was pleasantly surprised. For eyes, I applied a small amount of Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden.

Next, I took Bourjois Regard Effect Metallic Eyeliner in #54 Bleu clinquant (wheesh) and applied that to the inner half of my eye, and blended it out with my ringfinger.

With a flat shader brush I applied the shimmery turqoise from my Bed Head 4Play Drama Queen quad over where the liner was. You want to really pack on this colour.

Then taking another coloured pencil, this time GOSH Velvet Touch Eye Liner in Purple Stain and did the same on th outr corner of the eye.

Flipping the same shader brush over, I took Catrice eyeshadow #370 Don't Lie, Lac! (haha love the name). and applied this on top of the purple liner. Make sure to overlap a generous amount of this over the blue, to blend the two together.

Using a slim tapered blending brush, I took another Ctarice eyeshadow, #280 Heidi Plum, and swooped this into the crease and outer V.

Finally to darken up the crease colour, with the same tapered brush I used Catrice eyeshadow #140 The Captain of the Black Pearl (which is a great dupe for Creep by Urban Decay and correct me if im wrong, but I believe Mac Black Tied also.)

As a brow highlight I used Mac Brule on a dense big brush like so. I also took both eyeliners and eyeshadows on the bottom lashline. The bright turqoise eyeliner on the waterline too.

As an inner corner highlight I used Virgin from the UD Naked palette with a small shader brush.

Next I used Catrice gel liner in Black (its called something like Black Jack with Jack Black) and created a thick line close to the lashes and tightlined with this also. Then I ceated a corresponding liner with IsaDora Waterproof Aqua Splash Eye Liner in #60 Pool Blue. Tons of mascara with Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara (which I love).

I filled in my brows with Stila Nanda Devi eyeshadow and a Crown angled brush.

On the lips I used Rimmel Lipliner in Eastend Snob and Bourjois 3D Effect Max Lipgloss in #61 Rose Acidule.

On the rest of my skin I used Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation #51, Mac Studio Finish Concealer NW20, Catrice Light-Reflecting Concealer (under eyes), Gosh Liquid Highlighter, urban Decay Gel Blush in Quickie and Benefit High Beam as extra highlight. No powder, I wasnted to keep the skin fresh and dewy, so as not to look like Im going to a drag party. But thats it! Eyelashes would be lovely with this, however, I am completely out. Someone needs a trip to Sally's methinks...

Let me know if you prefer these type of tutorials where I show the product and brush or if you prefer them showing just the eyes. So I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you think! Much love xxx
