Lip War: Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick 'Ultimate Orchid' VS Mac Satin Lipstick 'Snob'

Hi Everyone! I've come accross two amazing lip products within the last two weeks and they're very similar so I decided to do a little comparison post :)
Revlon Colourstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in 006 Ultimate Orchid

I've read a few reviews on this and was surprised by all the negative feedback it's been getting, because I am literally loving this! I understand however, why this is a love it or hate it type of product, as it dries very matte, therefore making the lips feel dry, but I dont mind that as that's how I know its staying on. And I mean it, this stuff doesnt budge until you take it off. If I feel like my lips are starting to crack or anything, I just slick on a wee coat of balm or gloss, et voila!
The packaging is simple and sturdy, but looks sleek at the same time so im loving that. The thing I love most about this though, is this particular colour. It's fab. To me, its the perfect pink, but then again as you all know I'm quite the fan of a paleish lip so to me this is perfect, but somebody else might feel like a corpse with this on.
Also, I've been trying to find out how much this costs, but I can't seem to find the retail price anywhere! Downsides: no nice smell (doesnt really bother me, as the scent isnt unpleasant either) and I need to apply 2 coats of this to make the colour nice and even.
Overall rating: 7.5/10

Mac Satin Finish Lipstick in Snob

This is my first Mac Lipstick and I got it about two weeks ago. I've been literally drooling over this colour for the longest time, because it just looked like the most perfect mauvey-toned nude pink, and I wasn't disappointed! It comes in the very classic Mac bullet and it smells lovely and vanillaey.
The finish is Satin, but on mu lips it certainly turns quite matte, which I honestly dont mind one bit (I wouldnt wear either of these colours on a day that my lips look like the grand canyon) and this lasts way longer than a regular creamy finish lipstick does on me. I would need to reapply this maybe every 2 hours. When I say 'reapply' I mean sweep it just in the middle of my bottom lip, thats the only place where it seems to wear off.
The reason why Im comparing these two together is because the colour is very similar. I wouldnt go as far as say the Revlon one is a dupe, but its close. However, because Im not sure of the price difference, I dont know if it would be worth your while to go get the Revlon one instead of Snob, if your heart's set on it. (Snob was €17.50).
Overall Rating: 8.5/10

Whaddya think? Do you prefer matte finishes? If you know the price of the Revlon Liquid Lipsticks, let me know! Much Love xxx

INGLOT Purple Smokey Eyes

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the absence of postage this week, but I did warn yas :P I went out last night and I really liked my make-up so I thought I'd recreate it today and show you what i did. Im going to apologise in advance that I dont know the numbers of the Inglot shadows, but they're very easily dupable. And also excuse my big puffy eyes, I did a make-up course last weekend and I took a reaction to something because ever since my eyes have been swollen and then tight and dry, if anyone knows why this happens, please let me know! Anywhoo, on with the tutorial!

I started off my filling in my brows with Catrice Starlight Espresso and I applied Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden all over the lid.

Next on a small shader brush, I took this bone coloured matte shadow (similar to Blanc Type from Mac, but yellow toned rather than pink) and applied it to the inner corners and under the brow.

On a flat shader, i took this gorgeous shimmery purple and packed it onto the middle of the lid, blending out the corners with a big fluffy brush.

Taking the matte black on a domed crease brush, I applied this to the outer corner and into the crease blending the edges carefully.

To add some shimmer to the inner corners I used a little bit of Shroom by Mac.I also took the black and purple under the lower lashline.

I used AVON SuperShock Gel Liner pencil on the lower and upper waterline and also on the top lashline and set it with some more of the matte black.

Plenty of Clinique High Impact Mascara et voila! I wore lashes last night too, but to be honest I just couldnt be bothered today lol.

And that's it! Have you tried Inglot? Much Love xxx

What i want to show you today is this super cute nail set from OPI. I saw mine in the local chemist and bought it on a whim (17 euro) because I told myself it would be a great stocking filler although subconsciously I knew i was just buying it for myself :P Im not a great fan of The Muppets or anything, in fact I was quite scared of them when I was little, so no great love for them and definitely not going to watch the film, but the COLOURS in this little set are just so Christmasy, I had to get it. I apologise for my crappy pictures yet again, I took these quite late at night so... But definitely recommend these for a Christmas present for a frined who loves their polishes or if you're like me, a present for yourself :)

Breaking Dawn: Bella Wedding Make-up

Hi Everyone! In honor of the premiere of the latest Twilight film, I wanted to recreate Bella's wedding look. My computer keyboard is basically fucked so I have to copy and paste each letter r and u, so this is going to be a very short post :)

I began by applying uDPP all over the lid and I filled in my brows with Catrice eyeshadow in Starlight Espesso.

On a flat shader brush I applied the same colour to the lid, blending out the edges. The idea is to create a wide doe-eyed look.

Taking a blending brush and Naked by uD I applied this to the crease and blended out.

For a brow and inner corner highlight I used Mac's Blanc Type.

Taking a black eyeliner, I smudged this to the lashline and softened it out with an angled brush and a black eyeshadow.

Because it's a bridal look, waterproof mascara was a must. Loreal Volume Million Mascara.

Eylure Girls Aloud Cheryl Lashes et voila!

Midnight Blues

Hi Everyone! I was asked to do a midnight blue eye look, and I was so excited to do it because although it doesn't really suit me very well having blue eyes, but I love a dramatic blue eye look. My pictures today turned out uttrly crap, its really dark out so I didnt have good daylight and the pics are all dim and blurry, but I hope the tutorial is still followable (is that a word?) despite the shit pics. Enjoy!

I began by applying urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden all over the lid and under the lower lashline.

To create a dark base for the blue shadow, I applied Catrice Precision Eye Pencil in Blackstreet Boy (black) on the lid, leaving out the inner corner. I smudged this out with my ringfinger and applied and smudged some through the lower lashes also.

On a flat shader brush I took the shimmery dark blue from my Bed Head 4Play quad in Drama Quen and packed this all over where I put the black base, including uner the lower lashline.

I blended out the edges with a big fluffy brush but to tidy up and to blend further I used Brule by Mac.

To add an inner corner highlight I took a small shader brus and the frosty pink from the same palette I used before.

Next, on an angled brush I darkened up the lashline using a shimmery black eyeshadow.

I used the same pencil liner as before to line my lower and upper waterlines and I used Rimmel Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner to create a very thin line on the top lashline.

I used IsaDora Vibralash Mascara and applied these massive SalonSystem lashes et voila!

Much Love xx
